Our Bed and Breakfast is situated in ‘frazione’ San Carlo, in Costigliole d’Asti, between the Langhe and Monferrato.
Our restored house is in an elevated and sunny position, from which you can enjoy a landscape extending from the Langhe hills, round the whole of the Alpine ‘arc’ to the Val d’Aosta.
From our garden, a grassy path leads to our little Dolcetto and Barbera vineyards. If you continue, you will reach a wood where you will find a hazel grove, where, in autumn, are found fragrant truffles.
The prices given for each room include: breakfast, water, electricity and full use of all accessories supplied in the room. There are three bedrooms available, each with a large double bed, and one with a private bathroom.
There is either a shower or spa bath available for each bedroom; also supplied are; a phone, independent heating, digital or satellite TV, plus bedlinen and towels. A wake-up call service is available, as well as a safekeeping service for any valuables. There is a livingroom, TV, internet point, garden, solarium, and the possibility of a tour of our property.

Ad appena qualche centinaio di metri dal paese di Scarlino sorge Madonna del Poggio, la cui struttura principale vanta di essere stata una chiesa medioevale.
Originariamente la Chiesa aveva il nome di Madonna del Piano e del Poggio, poichè trovandosi a metà strada tra la pianura e la collina serviva "le anime del piano e del poggio". Della chiesa l'edificio attuale ingloba le mura originali fino a tutto l'alzato, l'arco adiacente invece, fu inserito dopo la sconsacrazione della stessa, per ospitare la dogana sull'antica via che portava al paese. Oggi il seminterrato ed il piano terreno, corrispondenti all'originale muro in pietra della chiesa,
ospitano rispettivamente la sala
delle colazioni, la Hall e la sala per la televisione, al primo ed al secondo piano sono ubicate 7 camere da letto con bagno, alcune delle quali tipo suite.

The Villa Barbaiano, dating from the XVIth century, stands on a hill, just off a country road which runs through the Tuscan hills scattered with vineyards and forests. The Villa is situated 2 km from Monte San Savino, a small town in the heart of Tuscany, perched on a hill surrounded by olive trees and dominating the Torrente Esse Valley. The area boasts some very interesting monuments of great artistic interest, which date from late medieval times, mainly from the late Renaissance period.
The Villa Barbaiano is located in a park of one acre where you can wander in the shade of the many centuried oaks or amongst the olive trees from which is produced biological olive oil on the premises. The big swimming pool is a welcome addition to the domain and the spacious terrace, overlooking the valley at the rear of the house, provides an ideal sun trap. Guests are also welcome to make use of the barbecue located amongst the lemon trees and sample home-grown vegetables.
There are many interesting towns to visit nearby in the area such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Anghiari, Montepulciano, Pienza, Chiusi and San Gimignano, all famous for their art and culture.
It is also possible to play table tennis and try your hand at golf with a practice net in the grounds of the Villa.
The vast cellar and "limonaia" have been converted to accommodate up to 300 people for a variety of events from parties to exhibitions.
